Simon holds an MA in Economics from St Andrews University.

Simon has worked in the finance industry since 1986 with a focus on the Middle East since the late 1990s.

He started his career with the investment arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland where he stayed until 1995, with six years spent in Hong Kong and Singapore in charge of investment sales into Asia.

He then joined Jardine Fleming to run their investment business in Indonesia, moving on to Bahrain in 1998 to represent Fleming Investment Management in the Gulf.

He continued this role from London following the takeover by JPMorgan Chase.

He spent a year with a hedge fund group in 2004 to cover the Middle East, before joining Rosecastle in 2005.

Simon holds an MA in Economics from St Andrews University.
